Purpose

Use the AUDIT control record to control how auditing of SFS requests for filepool Fp should be done. If OFF is specified, no auditing is done.

Parameters

Fp	The name of the SFS filepool to be affected by the record setting.
ON	Indicates audit information is collected for the SFS filepool Fp.
OFF	Turns off auditing for the SFS filepool Fp.
ACCEPT	Only SFS requests that are accepted by SafeSFS are audited.
REJECT	Only SFS requests that are rejected by SafeSFS are audited. REJECT is the default.
ALLRSLT	All SFS requests are audited.

Usage Notes

1. Use of auditing may cause a 10%-20% increase in the total overhead associated with SafeSFS processing for an SFS request.



2. Safe Software recommends running with AUDIT OFF unless a specific requirement for audit data exists.



3. Each AUDIT record affects only the file pool specified.



4. AUDIT OFF is the default if no AUDIT record exists for the filepool.
