Chapter 8. SafeAccess Data Collection Facility

The SafeAccess Data Collection, SACDC, facility allows you to collect data documenting the use of minidisks on your system. SACDC data can document real minindisks, simulated SACDISKS, or both. SACDC data can optionally be used by the SafeAccess migration facility to select minidisk for migration. See the SAFEACC MODIFY SACDC command for details about turning SACDC on and off, etc. The format of the SACDC data records is described below.

Record Format
SafeAccess data collection records are have a general format of:

yyyy - Year
mm - Month
dd - Day
hh - Hour
mm - minute
ss - second
aaa - request code
Data - specific to each request code. See below.
Request Codes
Each request code represents a particular type of event. In general there are two codes for each type of event (LINK or ACCESS). One documents an action against a real minidisk and the other against a SACDISK.
