    SAFESFS

.

SAFESFS

-

filepool ON

--

Purpose

Tells SafeAccess if a filepool is controlled by SafeSFS or native CMS facilities. Filepools that are controlled by SafeSFS are eligible for minidisk link password support and Linkmode protection. When SAFESFS is ON for a filepool, SafeAccess uses different access control commands to determine if a LINK is authorized.

Parameters

    ON

SafeAccess will use SafeSFS query methods to determine if a user is authorized for a link. SafeAccess will use SafeSFS SACMODE rules to enforce R/O or R/W access. Minidisk link passwords are used.

Usage Notes

SAFESFS ON

  1. Use the SafeSFS "SACPASS" option on SafeSFS Rules to force SafeAccess to respect minidisk link passwords. A SafeSFS ACCEPT rule without the SACPASS allows the link without a password check.

  2. SafeAccess creates SafeSFS "SACMODE" rules for active links. These are special SafeSFS rules, available only to SafeAccess, that enforce Read or Write access to a single directory.
