    SafeAccess Customization:

This section describes how to customize SafeAccess for your installation.

See chapter 6 "SafeAccess Control Reference" for details about the control file records to be added or modified in this section.

Step1: XEDIT the SAFEACC CONTROL file on the SAFEACC DBA mdisk and update the following SafeAccess control file records:
SAFADMIN
SAFEPW

At least one of each of these records must be present in the SAFEACC CONTROL file. The contents of the SAFEPW record will be supplied for your site by Safe Software Technical Support. SafeAccess has limited capabilities when it does not have a valid SAFEPW record.

Step 2: Repeat the steps below for each SafeSFS controlled filepool:
1. Add a SAFESFS filepool ON record to the SAFEACC CONTROL file on the SAFEACC 192 mdisk. This tells SafeAccess that SafeSFS is controlling the filepool and enables the SafeAccess/SafeSFS interface on that filepool. This provides minidisk link passwords, linkmode support, and causes SafeAccess to use the appropriate queries in determining authorization to link to SafeAccess Migrated Minidisks.

2. Give the SafeAccess server READ authorization over all objects in the filepool by issuing "SAFESFS ADD ADMIN ACCEPT SAFEACC READ filepool:*." SafeAccess requires this authorization to determine if target directories exist. Alternatively, you can, once, give SafeAccess access to all of your SafeSFS controlled filepools by issuing: "SAFESFS ADD ADMIN ACCEPT SAFEACC READ *:*."

3. Enroll the SafeAccess server in the filepool by issuing ENROLL USER SAFEACC filepool. This ensures that the SafeAccess server can connect to the filepool, which is required to be able to perform any communication with the filepool.
