SafeAccess Overview
SafeAccess is an SFS migration solution. It addresses the high cost of migrating CMS applications from minidisks to SFS by automating migration tasks and eliminating application conversion and user training.
SafeAccess places the contents of a CMS minidisk into an SFS directory. SafeAccess uses CP and CMS interceptions, implemented via the CP Exit facility and CMS nucleus extensions, to allow users and applications to continue to use minidisk commands and functions, such as CP LINK and CMS QUERY DISK, with this migrated data. From their point of view, the data is still on a minidisk when, in fact, it is now residing in SFS.
SafeAccess interfaces with Safe Software's SafeSFSTM product to support minidisk link passwords and enforcement of minidisk link modes (R/O or R/W) by dynamically creating SFS access control rules.
